Clam Chowder Day

For my Club Card for the month of August,
I was given this stamped apron on sea shells design paper.
Now to make the card using the apron. It was a little difficult for me. But this is what I came up with.
I used the cooking background stamp from Great Impressions for the background and on slate blue paper. I found the word Recipe on another stamp from Great Impressions, so that worked for the sentiment. Oh so clever me, thought with all the sea shells on the paper, I needed a clam chowder recipe to put in the pouch of the apron. I found a recipe, copied it and stuck in the opening. Added the bakers twine for the strings and the bow. What do you think?

Inside of the card
I cut out the shells from the remaining designer paper and pop dotted them on the black band.
The inside sentiment stamp is from Great Impressions.

Thank you for visiting my blog and come back soon...

Enjoy a relaxing day

I love making these Easel Cards.
They always end up so pretty.
I made this card thinking of something elegant. I think it sure did end up very pretty. Maybe not elegant, but close to it.
I made the flower from a diet coke pop can, and the #2 flower die. I added a biggy black brad in the center of the flower to keep it together. I have seen them all over blogland a while ago. Now they aren't so popular. But I wanted to show you how pretty those diet coke pop cans can make a gorgeous flower. I cut the leaves by hand and put a crease in them a little to add dimension to the leaves.

Left angle of the card.

Right angle of the card opened.

This is the front of the card closed.

This is the inside when fully opened up.

Stamps I bought from the Stamp Pad in Zoar, I don't remember who made them. If you are interested in them, let me know and I will see what the company name is on the stamps. My paper is from my stash.

Happy Father's Day

I know I am late with this card, but I wanted to show it to you anyway.
Love the browns and blues together.
I used some punches and some twine and of course the lighthouse is a manly image.
Perfect for any father.
I purchased the lighthouse stamp at a dollar store and the sentiment stamp is from SU.
Design Paper is from Karen Foster. And added some twine to accent it off.

Thanks for stopping by and come back soon.

For Someone Special

I just had to have this stamp from Impression Obsession, I knew the little umbrellas would look perfect on this card. I got the umbrellas from Oriental Trader. Yes, I only have 144 of them. Not sure what drink is this color of green. I go to this authentic Mexican Restaurant and a lot of people order the green drinks in those big glasses. So that is where I came up with the color of the drink.

The umbrella is open a little bit and smashed some to get it to lay flat on the card. I attached it with some glue dots.

The green drink and the leaves are colored with prisma pencils and the orange hearts and dots are colored with Tombow markers.
The sentiment label is from Stampin Up.

Thanks for stopping in and see you soon

Wishing you the best of everything

Love this clean and simple card.
I think it looks very elegant, and the rhinestone really set it off. The rhinestones didn't show up very well in this picture, but they are gorgeous. I don't know if you noticed the 3 rhinestones at the bottom along with the 3 under the word Everything. Maybe pearls would have shown up better. I will have to try them the next time.
Inside the card, I added more Design Paper with hearts and a Birthday sentiment.

Design Paper is from Creative Imaginations,
          the Marah Johnson Collection,
Stamp is from There She Goes
Martha Stewart Heart Punch
Old Olive Ink
Diamond Rhinestones.

Thank you for stopping by.  And see you the next time.

Thank You (Strawberry)

This is so gorgeous, love the red color.
What do you think of the background paper? Of course you can see that I just stamped the Thank You stamp all over the front of the card.

The strawberry I colored with Tombow markers and added the glossy effects to make it shinny.  Punched the circles for the layered look. I added pop ups on the circles to raise it off the card. I like to poked holes in the scallop green circle, it gives the card an additional look. Gorgeous little mint green brads are in the center of the flowers. Isn't this card so cute. Very colorful.
.

I have seen the background stamping on There She Goes Blog. Jessica does a lot of backgrounds with her stamps. I think it makes a pretty card using the background stamps. A lot cheaper than Designer Paper. Thanks Jessica for the inspiration on background stamping.

Birthday Wishes

Love the colors of this card, the purple ribbon is so pretty with the black paper.
I stamped two of the flowers with the purple ink and then one in the middle with black.
Added some diamond rhinestone here and there and wow so pretty.

Also I did the border with the scalloped Stampin Up border punch. Love how this turned out.
Stamps: There She Goes.
Ink: Stampin Up and Memento Black
Paper: from my stash (Purple, Black and White)
Ribbon and Rhinestones: Memories

The Butterfly

Sorry, forgot to let you know what I used to make the Yellow Butterfly Card.

The Butterfly used in my card is a Nestibilities Dies.
And Susan, if you want to use it, let me know.

Butterfly

Here is the prettiest butterfly card.
It is called an Easel card.
I love making these cards, they are so pretty and easy to do.

and here is other positions of the card

 and one more position

The card is made with yellow card stock, design paper and vellum.
I ran the design paper and the vellum through the cuttlebug using the scripted A 2 folder to give the paper more texture.
Sponged the vellum paper with distressed ink.
Then added 2 flower centers for the antennas and small beads for the body.
I think the butterfly is adorable.
I thought it would make a pretty birthday card.

Thanks for stopping in.
Hope to see you back here again soon.
