Doctor Bag (for my sister)

I made this cute Doctor Bag for my sister. She recently had Knee Replacement. I thought it would be really cute to give to her. Inside the bag I added travel size packages of band-aids, Tylenol and tissues.

I saw this on Barb's blog with a tutorial, so I changed several things on it. Thanks Barb for the idea and at a perfect time where I could try and make one of them.

I used black cardstock. I run the top of the bag through the cuttlebug folder to give it a different look on the top. And that was all I could fit through the cuttlebug folder at a time. I had to hand cut the handles myself, so I hope that the handle looks like a doctor bag. I couldn't remember what kind of latch would be on a doctor bag, so I didn't add one to mine. I haven't seen one in a long time and then it was only on TV. I colored the Nurse Nora (from MFT) with the few copics that I own, thank goodness I had the right colors. Last I added the oval tag. Which all the punches are from SU.

A Stair Step Card

Thought I would give this Stair Step Card a try. It was really hard finding a stamp set with lots of little extras. And this card needed a lot of extras. I used the stamps from Great Impressions. Not one of my favorite themes, but they worked okay for this card. I knew the card had to be red. With the kitchen items. I colored it with tombow markers and cut out the utensils and glued them on. The polka dot DP is from a company in Washington. I would have to look on the back to see what the company name is. I liked the black and white for the cooking items. Love the gingham red and white ribbon. Perfect for this card. So what do you think? Cute or not so cute?

Another Valentine's Day Card

This is a card I used for my workshops for Valentine's Day. Finally getting it on my blog. It is called a Free Standing Card. Thought it would be hard to do, but it was really easy to create. Some scoring and folding on the score pal and taping it all together. The flowers are an older set from Stampin Up and the verse doesn't have a name on the stamp, so don't know where I purchased it from. Colored with my Tombow markers. I added some gold stickers, ribbon and some silk flowers. No your not seeing things, there is a white flower underneath the red ones. The silk flowers has a smaller flower in the middle and then a heart brad. I then added the heart trim border punch from Martha Stewart so the bottom wouldn't be so plain. Hope you like it.

Happy Birthday

I think this card is so pretty and yet so simple. I used Bo Bunny DP and Old Olive ink. And the bow matches the paper and ink so well. The Happy birthday is from Stampin Up and of course I don't know the name of the stamp set. I also made the same card and added a white bow and it was gorgeous too. I couldn't tell you which one I like the best. They were both gorgeous.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my blog.

Best Wishes

Thought I would try a Spring Card for a change. Spring is almost here.
I love the purple card stock, and just add a little darker purple and white and you have a fabulous card. The stamps are all Stampin Up, if you want to know the names of them, I sure will look them up for you. Just email and let me know. The dotted background paper is from the Cuttlebug A2 Folder. Final touch was the little white bow. And using the Bow Easy I had a perfect little bow for my card.

Happy Birthday

Another pretty card using this vase filled with awesome colored flowers.
A lot of colors was used to make it bright and cheery for the birthday person.
I used Tombow markers on the flowers and Pink Shimmerz on the top of the vase. The Shimmerz doesn't show up very much in this picture at all.
Then I added the faux stitches on the side. I sure wish I knew how to sew on a card. One of these days I will have to try it. But for now the clear stamp does the trick.

Stamps: Great Impressions and Clear Stamps
Paper: My stash
Punches: Stampin Up Scallop
Embellishments: Ribbon (my stash), Shimmerz and Nestibilities.
