When God closes a door

Love the sentiment on this card,
and the inside verse is Never, never, never give up.
I stamped the birds in black ink and then stamped one of the birds in red.
I fussy cut the red bird and glued it over top of the black bird.
My card base is Kraft paper. I used black so it would make the white layer show up nicely.
All it needed now is a olive colored sheer ribbon.
Clean and simple card, but elegant.

Stamps are from Zoar and Stampin Up
Paper from My stash
Ribbon is Sheer Olive Green

Celebrate and It's all about the journey

Here is a card using the Sale-a-bration Free Stamp set.
I think of the Phone booth as being from England. And always the color red. I colored an image red and didn't like it very much, so I just used red paper. Worked fine for me.
I used the Chevron Embossing folder for my background so I could have some texture on the red paper.
I think the black brads were cute in the corner and they added a lot to the card.
Then for my sentiment, I made the Celebrate into a flag banner.

Here is my second card using the Sale-a-bration Stamp Set. Both of these stamps are in the same set. The third stamp is a Ferris Wheel and very old fashioned.
Of course the Sale-a-bration program is over now.
But glad I got my set, I have used them on several cards.
I used the Argyle Embossing folder for the background on this card. Added a designer paper strip in the middle along with 2 large brads on both sides.
Love the It's all about the journey. This stamp is from Great Impressions, I just thought it went perfect with the bicycle.

Thank You for stopping in at my blog.
I would love to hear your comments, they would mean so much to me.

Stamps: Stampin Up and Great Impressions.
Papers: Cloud 9 and Bo Bunny

Happy Spring

Very clean and simple card, but yet so pretty.
I belong to a club and we do a secret sister and a theme card every month.
I did this card for my secret sister this month.
Love the blue and white together. And the added pearls and ribbon is a perfect match for this card.
I used the embossing folder for my frame and glued the flower to it. Added ribbon and pearls and it was done.

Stamp:  My Favorite Thing
Flower Die:  Memory Box
Embossing Folder:  Stampin Up

Hope you enjoy Spring which is tomorrow. So glad Winter is almost over.
Thanks for checking out my blog and come back again.

Birthday Wishes

I got this idea from Connie Stewart, a cyber friend on the internet.
It was so pretty, I had to try it.
Here is a card that I really like.
Love the Rose Red color and the black accents on Vanilla Paper.
Stamp set is Creative Elements from Stampin Up
I used a embossing folder for the texture layer.
Border trim is a punch also from Stampin Up.
I attached my bow with a glue dot.
What do you think. Pretty huh?

Happy Birthday

Almost everything on this card is Stampin Up items.
Love the blue paper and the red brads.
I used the Honeycomb and Lattice embossing folders. Gorgeous design with both of them.
And the new mini curly punch is fabulous and some new stamps that goes with it.

I tried to be creative with this card, but I am not sure if I was creative or not.
I like the textures on this card, it's kind of plain to me.
I like more embellishments on a card.

Thanks for dropping by, and see you the next time.

Wishing you well

Love, Love, Love this card.

Gorgeous flower and love the blue color, but I can see this also in red, yellow, pink and even orange.
I added the border trim to help divide the base color and the white. Attached the little fishtail banner and twine to left corner. Only other thing I needed was a little black rhinestone. Perfect card, well to me anyway.
My class enjoyed the card and commented a lot about it.

The inside was the added plus. Love the little tissue box inside the card. I used some scrap and scored and folded it into a rectangle, then glued a piece of tissue inside the rectangle. Stamped the flower randomly on the outside of the rectangle. Taped the two sides to the inside of the card and there is your box of tissues inside of your card. Cute huh?

Added the sentiments and done.

Happiness Always

I needed to do a card that has Zig Zags on it for the theme of our Club Nite Card.
So here is what I come up with.

I love the background paper that I found in my stash and to me it needed red paper.
I used the Chevron Die Namic Dies from My Favorite Things and in the red paper.
I added star rhindstones to add a little shine to my card.
Next I added the star die cut from My Favorite Things also.
Using the scallop circle and punching all those holes around it, wow, I think I did a great job huh?
I love how it adds to the plain circle.
The sentiment is from Stampin Up.

Hope you enjoyed your stop at my blog and come back again soon.

Happy Valentine's Day

This is my double Easel Card, the first one I ever made. It was kind of easy.
I love how it stands up. I used a large red heart BRAD for the little heart to stand up against. The larger heart is lined up behind the little heart. I will try this again using another design.

I took pictures of the side view and I used a black background hoping it show up better.
Wow, the difference in the red paper from a different angle, I sure like the brighter red than the dull red.
I made this card for my Secret Sister in the Club I attend every month. Yes, it is easy to make a pretty card for your secret sister when she is my real sister. Yeah, she knows I have her name.

I used the Spellbinder hearts,
Bo Bunny designers paper,
Stamps are from Stampin Up,
and the ribbon is from my stash.

XOXO (Hugs and Kisses)

Isn't this bunny the cutest.
Love the bow and arrow.
We made this card in one of my workshop classes.
Super cute Valentine's Day Card.
The card base is white, the black is my background for picture taking when I have a white card.

I added glitter to his wings and they sparkled so pretty.
I made the rosette and glued a frilly red looped circle on top of the rosette, which made it look really nice.
I added some sparkly silver sheer ribbon. I punched the rosette with a border punch before I made it round. Also I used the ticket punch for my XOXO (hugs and kisses).

Stamps from Cat's Pajamas (Cupid)
Punches from Stampin Up

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon.

Friends

Gosh, I can't believe it has been so long since I posted.
I have to blame it on not getting pictures of the cards that I make.

I think this will be my new priority starting the new year.
Taking pictures as soon as the cards is done.

Here is a card that I made some time ago and never got to post it.

Got to love the dress. I made it at Robin's card class.
I changed a few things, but it still kind of looked the same.
I think it was gorgeous. Love it Robin.
The Bodice was embossed with black embossing powder. Black lace to divide the waistline.
It was made with the new Lattice and Dots Embossing Folders and the Blossom Flower, Label and Oval Stampin Up Punches. Vellum paper for the bottom of the dress. A small flower punch.

Thinking of You

Sorry for being away so long.
Having several card parties, canning tomatoes and Salsa, just no time to keep up with thing. Hopefully things will slow down a little.

Got to love Red and Beige together.
So simple, yet so pretty.
I used one of the dotted embossing folders to make the red background. I love this folder, it makes a great background. The smaller dots is just as pretty. I thought the larger dots would make the flower stand out more than the smaller dots.
The flower and the leaves are from My Favorite Things and they are a die cut. I put 2 flowers together and rotated them a little to make the flower fuller.
Then I punched a small yellow flower with a Stampin Up punch.
Added a large brad in the center and wow, makes a fabulous looking flower.
I stamped the Thinking of You on beige Bo Bunny Design Paper.

Have a great day and come back again soon.

Be Happy

I found this lighthouse stamp in my stash, new, never been inked. So I thought what can I do with it.

This is what I came up with:
I stamped the image on shinny paper with India Black Ink. This is the best ink for shinny paper.
I sponged the sunset colors on the shinny paper and them colored the roof tops of the light house with a Tombow Marker.

I have no clue who made this lighthouse stamp, it is on cling and no names anywhere.

Last, I added the Be Happy stamp from Endless Creations on the Modern Label Punch from Stampin Up.

Gorgeous card I think.

Hello Baby

Isn't this the cutest card.
Did you notice the bird in the tree? So cute. Adorable baby clothes hanging on the line.

This is from Flourishes, they have the most unique stamps. Some of them are very classic flowers and others are super cute. Their line of Christmas Stamps are gorgeous. Love them.

I used so saffron satin ribbon from Stampin Up.

I colored the image with Tombow markers.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and hope you come back again soon.

Best Wishes

I needed a card for an elderly lady, and I like the vintage look. This is what I come up with...
Don't you think these colors are perfect for the vintage look?

You can't go wrong using the violet and olive green for a Vintage Card.
I added the butterflies for accents.

Paper from my stash, love the news print and the lacy look of the purple.
Stamps are from Stampin Up
May Arts Olive sheer ribbon
Best Wishes from a sticker sheet
Punches from Stampin Up
And the border punch is from Martha Stewart.

Hope you enjoyed stopping by and come back again soon.
Thank You

Grateful

There is so much to be grateful for in this world today.
The first thing is your family and then your health. Hopefully everything else will fall in place.

The wheat stems are so calm and peaceful. Really an awesome stamp. From Stampin Up.
I tried to get the wheat the right color, so I used a Zig Marker that was named wheat, so if it isn't the right color, I will blame it on the Zig Marker.
I love the stripped paper, and the brads add to the little flowers.
Gorgeous bluey-green color on the vase/pail.

Thanks for visiting.
Hope you liked my card.
All your comments are very welcomed

Happy Birthday

Gotta love the blue glitter paper, it is so shinny and gorgeous.
I made this card for my sister's birthday because she loves blues.
The blue flower is popped up and that adds some dimension to the card.
I added some greenery and pearls.
The bottom border is from a Martha Stewart Punch.

Stamps and the flower punch are from Stampin Up
Designer and Glitter Papers are from Pat Catan's
The Greenery leaves are from Cheery Lynn's.

Thanks for visiting my blog and come back again soon.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone.
Hope you had a wonderful day.

I love this card, it is very pretty in person, the heart is red not pinky red. Everything used is from Stampin Up.

Sorry to be absent so long on my posting. Hope real soon I can get back into posting. I am currently trying something different and having difficulty doing it.

Thank You for visiting my blog and I hope you will come back again.

This could be made in all the occasions that anyone would want.

Make a wish

Love this card, it is so pretty. I made this card for a special friend. Happy Birthday Susan, I know it was a while ago, but just now getting the card on my blog for everyone to see. I used this card for one of my classes and everyone loved it and commented on how nice the card was. Some of the ladies even said it was there favorite for the day. The designer paper is so pretty. I need to look up the name of the company for the paper, I never can remember who makes the paper. I put the card on the computer in a different room then my scrappin room, so it is difficult to find out all the supplies that I use. The paper is really old and probably not available today. I sure wish I would have bought 25 sheets of it. I think this would make an awesome Christmas Card. Must be the red and olive green mixed together.
I stamped the Make a wish with the window word punch and layered it on red with the modern label punch. More dimensional here, too.
All the punches are from Stampin Up.
The squares are punched 1 inch with the design paper and 1 1/4 inch on the red card stock. I also pupped up the designer paper with a pop up. It gave the card a lot of dimension. With a black sheer bow and large green brads, wow this makes an awesome card.

Thank You for checking out my creations.
Please leave a comment, I cherish every one of them. It means a lot to me.

With Deepest Sympathy

I made these cards a while ago and wanted to show them to you. I like the flower as the main focal point, it shows up so well. But then, maybe it shouldn't be so bright and bold. So I made another card and didn't put the flower on it, instead I added a small blue rhinestone. It is more toned down somewhat. I think it is all in what the person likes or prefers.
I started with a piece of black cardstock, I ripped out a page from (a not so favorite) book and tore the edge. Glued the torn page to the black cardstock. I stamped the background with a distressed stamp. I like how it distressed the words from the page.
The tag is from Kraft cardstock that has rounded corners. I stamped the Sympathy words on white paper and punched out with the fancy frame punch. Added the flower and crystal rhinestones in the center of the flower and on the small swirl in the middle of the image. And of course I needed to add ribbon somewhere to the card. I think that is my trademark on a card. (Ribbon). I turned the top of the ribbon to make a loop and glued it between the Kraft and white paper.

more toned down than the first card
I think they are both very nice cards.

Paper and Ribbon are both from my stash
Stamp images and Punch are both from Stampin Up.

Hope you enjoyed my cards today and come back again.
Thank You.
